How I Work

Understand the problem. Build the right solution.

You might need a better website, a clearer offer or less repetitive admin. We start by understanding what you want to achieve, then agree the practical work that will move you towards it.

Four stages. One practical outcome.

I follow the Double Diamond framework, developed by the Design Council. It creates room to investigate the problem before committing to a solution.

01 / Discover

Understand your business, your customers and what is getting in the way. We look at the current experience, speak about your goals and review useful evidence. The seven Ps help me consider the wider business rather than assume the first visible problem is the whole story.

02 / Define

Choose the problem worth solving and agree what success looks like. Before implementation begins, you receive a clear scope, deliverables, timescale and fixed quote. We also agree what is outside that scope.

03 / Develop

Explore a suitable approach, create the solution and refine it with your feedback. Depending on the project, that could mean a website prototype, a revised offer or a working automation.

04 / Deliver

Test the agreed work, launch or hand it over, and make sure you know how to use it. We agree what evidence to review afterwards, such as successful enquiries, customer feedback or time saved. Commercial results depend on more than the work delivered, so I do not promise specific revenue or rankings.

A focused sprint or a broader programme?

A sprint focuses on a specific business need, with deliverables agreed around your priorities. A programme connects several priorities into a wider piece of work. Both follow the same process; the depth and deliverables match the agreed scope.
