Meet Paul Keating

I build businesses as well as helping them grow.

I am Paul Keating, a marketing consultant and business owner based in Exeter. My background spans SEO, website development and business systems. Through MrKeating, I bring those skills together to help owners work out what needs improving and put it into practice.

The name is an anagram of marketing. It also happens to be my name. A useful starting point for someone who enjoys finding a different way to look at things.

Experience from running my own businesses.

I co-founded Isca Brands, the business behind Revive a Bee and UK Seed Paper. That means my work extends beyond websites and marketing into products, pricing, customer enquiries, production and the everyday decisions involved in running a business.

I understand why a promising idea can sit unfinished when orders need sending, customers need answers and there are only so many hours in the week. The advice I give has to work within those constraints.

You might come to me for a new website, a clearer brand or help getting found on Google. We start by looking at what you want to achieve, what is getting in the way and what is worth tackling first.

I use the seven Ps of marketing to look across your product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence. It helps connect your marketing to what you sell and how you deliver it.

Sometimes the answer is a better website. Sometimes it is a clearer offer, a simpler buying process or a system that takes a repetitive job off your hands.

I can do the work for you, build it alongside you or teach you how to manage it yourself. We agree what needs doing, what you will receive and who is responsible before the work begins.

I use AI where it helps with research, design, development and automation. You should understand what we are building, why it matters and how to use it afterwards.
